Sao Paulo
is a concrete jungle on a high plateau among sub-tropical
forest covered mountains. Because of the increase in
pavement and concrete accompanying the growth of this
megalopolis, the city has become hotter.
As the sun heats up the city during the day be prepared to
peel of the warmer clothes you needed as you left your
hotel in the morning. Because of the mountain climate the
nights are usually cool for those not liking to sleep in
air-conditioning. Of course for those of you who prefer
air, it's prevalent in all fine hotels.
Like most sub-tropical climates there are often passing
summer showers at the end of the afternoon. This is the
rainy season in Brazil. In the winter, though one could
hardly call it winter based on European or North American
standards, it doesn't rain much as it's the dry season. |
